BeforeMe respects your privacy.
BeforeMe is an early-stage application developed as part of a university Sandbox program. We only access third-party account data that users explicitly authorize through secure OAuth authentication processes.
Information We Access
When you connect your accounts, BeforeMe may access the following information only with your authorization:
- Pinterest: basic account information, boards, and Pins, as needed to schedule Pins and save Pins to boards you select
- Etsy: listing information such as titles, images, and descriptions, as needed to create Pins from your products
This information is accessed solely to perform actions you explicitly configure within the application.
How We Use Information
Authorized data is used only to operate the service and carry out user-initiated actions, such as:
- generating Pins from your Etsy listings, and
- saving Pins you have personally selected to your Pinterest boards.
BeforeMe does not use this information for advertising, analytics unrelated to the service, or marketing purposes, and does not sell or share user data with third parties.
Data Storage
BeforeMe stores only the minimum information necessary to operate the service, such as user configuration settings, identifiers, and timestamps required to carry out authorized actions.
BeforeMe does not store Pinterest or Etsy passwords, login credentials, or session cookies, and does not persist Pinterest or Etsy content beyond what is temporarily required to perform requested actions.
Third Parties
BeforeMe uses the Pinterest and Etsy APIs in accordance with their respective developer policies. BeforeMe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pinterest or Etsy.
